#BookCreator chats – what’s next?

Dan KempEducation, News

After a successful summer trialling #BookCreator Twitter chats, we’re coming back for more – this time with two timezones.

From May to September this year we launched our first ever Twitter chats. The aim was to engage teachers in new ways to use Book Creator, and to share some creative ideas.

Jon Smith did a fantastic job of hosting the chats, getting participants to create during the chats, which seemed to go down very well!

Jon covered a breadth of subjects, from the basics of Book Creator, to design principles, to accessibility, to app smashing, and more.

You can view the transcripts from each of the chats on our Storify channel.

This all culminated in a jam-packed final week, where participants collaborated on a book within the hour, which is now published on the iBooks Store!

Book Creator chats are coming to the UK

For the next term of Twitter chats, we’re going to repeat them on the same day to cover the US and European timezones.

So, look out for #BookCreator chats every other Thursday at 7pm GMT, and then again at 9pm EST.
