Digital Citizenship Week: 18th - 22nd October
Each year Common Sense Education host a Digital Citizenship Week. This year they are focused on helping students reflect on how their digital lives impact their social and emotional well-being.
You can access a wealth of information on the Digital Citizenship Week homepage.
Alongside this, we will be promoting our own Digital Citizenship lesson ideas and resources, including the template books we created in partnership with Common Sense Education, and our own book, Creative Digital Citizenship Activities with Book Creator, by Monica Burns.
Teacher Librarians - we love you! 🤗
We believe the Library Learning Commons is the "heart" of the school. The school library today is much more than a place where students go to sign out books, it's a place where students can seek inspiration and unleash their creativity.
We're putting on a special webinar (and accompanying ebook) aimed at sharing strategies to transform your LLC into a place where rich learning happens!
We've partnered with one of our leading Book Creator Ambassadors, Mira Campbell, who is a Teacher Librarian with 14 years experience and has written some of the most compelling case studies on using Book Creator. Read her latest post: How we kept students and parents engaged in remote learning, and make sure to watch the videos at the end!
Empathy Project: Using Book Creator to facilitate cultural dialogue
If you're a high school / secondary teacher using Book Creator, then make sure to check out Michael Hernandez's latest blog post, where he provides proven strategies for helping students become more rounded global citizens whilst creating in Book Creator.
