Memorable moments
One of the most memorable projects Dr. Poth facilitated involved students creating projects about their families, childhood, and shopping experiences. Using Canva within Book Creator kept students engaged and sparked their creativity.
"Students who are hesitant to read aloud in Spanish in class find it wonderful to record their voices, becoming more comfortable and building confidence. They are always excited when they find new features and, of course, when they teach me something too."
Goals and aspirations for the upcoming year
Dr. Poth plans to continue using Book Creator at the start of her Spanish 1 course for "About Me" projects. This activity helps students learn about their classmates and allows Dr. Poth to learn more about her students' interests, facilitating a personalized learning experience.
In her STEAM Emerging Technology course, Dr. Poth aims to use Book Creator for compiling student portfolios. These portfolios will allow students to showcase their work on topics like coding, drones, and artificial intelligence. The platform’s accessibility and ease of use make it an ideal tool for creating and sharing these comprehensive portfolios.
