Ambassador Spotlight: Craig Dunlap

Each week, we feature a dedicated Book Creator Ambassador who has made a significant impact in the field of education. This week, we're thrilled to introduce you to Craig Dunlap.

Memorable moments

One of the most memorable projects Craig facilitated involved a collaboration with a 2nd grade teacher who wanted to celebrate the diverse cultures in her classroom. Recognizing that food is a universal gateway to sharing culture, they decided to create a global recipe book using Book Creator.

"Each student talked about their favorite recipe, and their parents sent the recipe in. We collaborated to make the recipe book I shared below. But that’s not the end. During our spring open house, parents brought the food in to share with everyone, and they had an international party right there in Room 26. Amazing adventure, and we’ll do it again this year… maybe expand to other classes too."

This project not only allowed students to share their heritage but also brought the entire school community together in a celebration of cultural diversity. The success of this initiative has inspired plans to expand the project to other classes in the coming year.

Goals and aspirations for the upcoming year

Craig aims to expand the use of Book Creator among his colleagues. He has already created a “Meet the Teachers” template with numerous “how-to” videos to inspire teachers to integrate Book Creator into their classrooms. Craig is also excited about his ongoing collaboration with teachers in Perth, Australia, using Book Creator to connect their classes and create engaging templates for the school year. Additionally, as a WeVideo Ambassador and a Certified ThingLink Trainer, he plans to app-smash these tools with Book Creator to create innovative projects.
