Memorable moments and visual elements
One memorable moment was when students eagerly participated in discussions comparing U.S. and Chinese grocery stores. The graphic organizer, pie charts, and opinion writing embedded in Book Creator allowed them to visually express their insights while incorporating their recorded voices, making their final projects about the local Chinese grocery store dynamic and personal.
The joy and pride on the faces of my novice high to intermediate low Chinese language students as they presented their multimedia books reflected not only their improved language skills but also a deeper appreciation for cultural differences.

Goals and aspirations for the upcoming year
My goals for using Book Creator in the upcoming year include leveraging it as a formative assessment tool to evaluate how well students apply their language skills in creating their own books.
I plan to have students incorporate required sentence structures and use Book Creator to demonstrate their understanding of fiction texts and the elements of narratives. This will not only enhance their language proficiency but also encourage creativity and critical thinking in their writing.
