What is ESSA level III?

The Every Student Succeeds Act (ESSA) sets evidence-based standards for educational tools, ensuring they positively impact student learning. Level III certification, or Promising Evidence, requires more rigorous research and data to validate the tool’s effectiveness than Level IV.

This achievement highlights that Book Creator is not only backed by a strong theoretical foundation but also by real-world evidence showing its impact on student engagement and learning.

The path from level IV to level III

Last year, we celebrated our ESSA Level IV certification. Since then, we’ve worked hard to collect and analyze data from classroom implementations, in collaboration with LearnPlatform, to elevate our evidence base to meet Level III standards.

This validation process involved a deeper analysis of our platform’s effectiveness, highlighting its impact on student engagement and literacy development, especially among underserved students.

What does this mean for schools?

Book Creator’s Level III certification means that schools and districts can confidently adopt our platform, knowing it is backed by research demonstrating its effectiveness in improving student outcomes. This achievement highlights Book Creator’s role in:

Looking Forward

While we are proud of this milestone, our journey doesn’t end here. We are already planning further studies to expand our evidence base and explore new ways to support educators and students. Future research will focus on replicating this study in other contexts to solidify Book Creator’s impact across diverse educational settings​.
