The American Association of School Librarians (AASL) has chosen Book Creator as one of the best websites for teaching and learning in 2018.
The award was announced at the American Library Association (ALA) Annual Conference in New Orleans yesterday (24 June). The annual lists honor 25 apps and 25 websites that provide enhanced learning and curriculum development for school librarians and their teacher collaborators. These technology resources are chosen for their ability to foster the qualities of innovation, creativity, active participation and collaboration and for their support of AASL’s "National School Library Standards."
Check this out - AASL even made their presentation slides in Book Creator and published them online using our app!
We're honoured to receive this recognition from such a prestigious association. Book Creator for Chrome was launched less than a year ago and this award is a reflection of the development we've invested in it, and the creativity that we've seen in classrooms across the world.
Since Book Creator for Chrome went live at app.bookcreator.com last year, we've made a number of improvements, including speech-to-text, real-time collaboration, 'Read to me' mode, and QR-code sign in.
We also have a major new update out soon - which we'll be announcing during the ISTE conference this week. Stay tuned!
Dan Kemp is the Marketing Director and has been working here since 2013. One of Dan’s favourite jobs is hearing the stories of how Book Creator is used to bring joy to classrooms all over the world, and he happily retells these stories on these pages!
